I am forwarding this message from Shipmate Bill Flynn. The web page he is talking about is www.submarinesailor.com . I found a lot of Ray stuff but not what Bill refers to. Anyway this is an excellent site about submarines.

To all:

I noticed on the cover page of http://www.SubmarineSailor.com   that there is a section devoted to photos of USS RAY (SS271), most all taken during WWII. http://donshelton.net/raypage.htm

All of these photos, I found interesting, the sights, the places, etc. Some were taken in Freemantle and some in Perth.

One of the photos shows Raton and you can see Ronnie the Rat very plainly. This particular photo is near the end of the photos as I recall. Raton is mentioned by name and the photo is pretty clear. There are lots of photos here.

Also there is a photo of the Battle Flag Certificate which I found interesting. Among other things listed in the "certificate" it mentions that submariners helped feed yellow belly japs to the myriad of minions in Davey Jones Locker.

Thought you all might be interested, if you have not seen it. Joe might like to know about it also, since it shows Raton and Ronnie the Rat, battle flag, etc.

Regards/Bill
