For those of you that have been passing the photographs of the Pearl Harbor
attack by the Japanese on December 7, 1941 around, I suggest you read over this
link from Snopes.com.
The photographs are real and have been around for years and been available
in books and archives throughout the world. The descriptions of the
photos are inaccurate.
Most of (if not all) of the images are readily identifiable as archival photos

that have been available since the early 1940's and have appeared in countless
articles and books about the Pearl Harbor attack.
Many of you have been disseminating these photos throughout the Internet.
You may want to get back to the people you sent the photos to, and explain
that the descriptions of these photos are inaccurate.
