Shipmates and fellow Veterans:

I am getting a lot email asking about eligibility requirements for VA healthcare, particularly those in Priority Group 8.  Some of you believe that Group 8 veterans have been frozen out of the system.

Nothing could be further from the truth. 

Here are the eligibility requirements for ALL veterans in order for them to receive healthcare through the Department of Veterans Affairs. 

Income threshholds are published here and if you do not fall within those threshholds you will be subject to higher copayments but will not be removed from the system.

Please  understand  that no veteran can be turned away from the VA healthcare system provided he/she shows proof/documentation of their military service.
