Subject: Backfire Bombers for sale

S.E.I.G. Agent Be-3735 reports big business dealings between China and Russia.  The Russian-Chinese Technical Cooperation Committee will have a meeting at Sochi on the Black Sea this month to discuss the sale of Russian-built Tu-22M supersonic bombers to China.  These have the NATO designation of "BACKFIRE" as you see in the attached photo.

In past joint exercises between Russia and China, the BACKFIRE bombers were used to destroy enemy airfields and its capability has apparently impressed the Chinese.  At this moment, China wants to buy ten BACKFIRE bombers.  Eventually they want to build their own under license from Russia.  They are currently building the Su-26 jet fighters under license from Russia however the actual Chinese-made components in these planes is still at a low per centage.

Possibly it will take ten years before China can build BACKFIRE bombers on it own but with their capability of carrying nuclear weapons and range of more than 2,000 kilometers, even a small wing of ten BACKFIRE bombers will constitute a great threat to neighboring countries - especially Taiwan.

Russia has a much better bomber in its arsenal, the Tu-160; designated BLACKJACK by NATO.  It was this bomber that fired an ASM over the Yellow Sea in simulated attacks against American aircraft carriers in the recent exercise.  It is reported that President Vladimir Putin was on board one of the bombers at that time.  The BLACKJACK is not for sale.............yet!

China buys one or two billion (that is BILLION) dollar's worth of military hardware annually from Russia.  How long with the Europeans be able to resist the temptation to cut into this highly lucrative market.

The Russians are very smart people.  They use money from other countries to dispose of old submarines while building new ones with their own money - money they get from the Chinese by selling them military hardware - money the Chinese receive from mega-companies like Wal Mart.

How long can this last before there are repercussions?
