A pass-along from James Ret.

I took the action indicated in the following e-mail (I clicked on "
Take Action!" and followed the directions). I highly recommend that you do the same. Let's make some noise. Double up for that military retiree that doesn't know how to use Web Forms or is unwilling to use Web Forms. Also double up for the active duty troops that are not currently in a position to take action in matters such as this. It's no longer a matter of just taking care of ourselves. We must also take care of those that are taking care of us on the battle field. Let's set an example for others to follow. Take the action indicated then goto http://mrgrg-ms.org/educate-the-congress.html and update the MRGRG Tracking System. Let's not work in the dark. Floyd Sears

Contact your elected officials NOW! The Pentagon is once again threatening military retirement benefits and have proposed massive increases in TRICARE premiums for all retirees under age 65!Your earned benefits are again under attack and if you are not yet retired, you need to fight now to ensure that benefits you are now earning are still there when you finally do retire!PLEASE tell your family, friends and neighbors to support our efforts and tell their elected officials to stop the attacks on

Pentagon 2007 Budget Proposes Drastic Increase in TRICARE for Retirees
Military Healthcare Needs to be Fully Funded

The Pentagon has made it clear they intend to ask for a drastic increase in TRICARE premium fees for retired military members under age 65 and their families. Is tripling the cost of TRICARE for retired officers and doubling the cost for retired enlisted personnel, over the next two years, a new way to show current military members that their service will be forgotten and to not expect the benefits they have been promised and earned? The Pentagon says this step is necessary to help meet the costs of providing for our national defense.
It is imperative that the Administration and Congress do the right thing and not renege on the committment to provide adequate funding for benefits earned through a career in the military.
Please take time and send this message to your elected officials. They need to know how you feel about this slap in the face to military retirees. Please ask your family, friends and neighbors to get involved too. Congress needs to stop "pork-barrel" projects and take care of the real priorities, one of which is adequate funding for the Pentagon.
