Charlie:

I'm impressed. I wonder how many of these Action Alerts are "Subject: 2007 Pentagon Budget Proposes Large Increases in Tricare Costs to Retirees Under 65" at:

USDR Action Alert Subscribers

Many thanks to all of you for helping make the USDR Action Alerts effort a success.  As you can see from the following table, we continue to grow.

          msgs   actv new-sub tot-sub
Feb 06   21079   1241     293    2689
Jan 06   28611   1412     390    2396
Dec 05   15267    810     131    2006
Nov 05   19759    925     232    1875
Oct 05    8037    934      15    1643
total    92753

msgs = total messages sent during the month.  About 85% go to congress, 10% go to the executive branch, and 5% go to local media.

actv = "actives" ... number of individuals sending at least one message during the month

new-sub = new subscribers during the month

tot-sub = total subscribers as of the end of the month

Are we having an impact?

Remember the CRDP "Penny Wise Dollar Wasteful" alert of 9 February?  Just yesterday I received and answered a request from the Congressional Research Service for the table that I had to excerpt into that letter.  My guess is that one of our 535 congressional receipients has asked for verification of the dollar waste where the last 5% to be restored is spread over the last 4 years of the phase in.

Again, thanks for you participation in this effort.
