I'll be in DC with my wife the end of this month and will be visiting our Congressional delegation offices, primarily to support her "storming the hill" efforts with MOAA. They are placing emphasis on stopping the TRICARE fee increases, DIC/SBP offset and the paid up SBP issues. I feel sure there will be opportunities to talk about other issues, to include the "Keep the Promise" bills stuck in Congress - and I'm wound up like a seven day alarm clock on that one.
I would appreciate any input from anyone forced to use TRICARE Standard. It's one of the "disadvantages" of being on TFL and also living near an active duty AFB where the retirees under 65 seem to be happy with the TRICARE Programs they use and of course - unless those forced to use TRICARE Standard speak out, I don't know if it is as bad as it was a year or so ago.
I don't need any great lengthy details - just things like, I can't find a provider, providers are requiring payment up front or just plain TRICARE Standard stinks!
Now it could be that TMA is telling the truth when they say they have "fixed" TRICARE Standard - (they also say TFL is "the promise kept") and with that I suspect they are speaking with forked tongues.
Thanks for your help.
