Subject: [MRGRG-MS] Web Forms and how they are used
Folks:
I've being asked a lot of question concerning how to use Web Forms and the Web
Form addresses provided on the
http://mrgrg-ms.org/fax-it.html web page.
EXAMPLE:
Capuano - Massachusetts - FAX 1-202-225-9322
http://www.house.gov/capuano/contact/email.shtml ZIP = 02141-2109
If you are using your FAX machine then use the FAX number in the first line.
If you do not have a FAX machine and you wish to participate then use the Web
Form address in the second line. The web form is like an e-mail but is design to
discourage the faint of heart from contacting a REP other than their own. You
should be able to click on the URL in the second and see a web page (Web Form)
appear in your browser. If that doesn't work then do a copy and paste the URL
into your browser. Fill out the web form using your personal information and
where necessary the ZIP code provided. The ZIP codes provided are from some city
within the area the REP represents. It's unfortunate that we have to cheat a
little in order to contact a member of the U.S. Congress. In my message I
apologize for having to cheat a little in order to communicate with a
Representative other than my own in order to convey my message which is of
national importance. Most REPs have a block for a ZIP code in order to avoid
receiving messages from people other than their own constituents. If you use
your own ZIP code in the ZIP code box then your message will be rejected. Where
the ZIP code is asked for use the ZIP code we provided. If your message bounces
then let me know so that I can double check the zip code.
Good luck and thank you for participating. The medical care and money you save
my be your own.
And, just one more thing. Please use the web form at
http://mrgrg-ms.org/educate-the-congress.html to tell us who you
contacted. use it each time you send a message, not just once. We need an
accurate count of how many participated in this project and who they contacted.
