To All:

I am at times disgusted with the entire --whole system. In this case, I am more than disgusted.

It has been noted that President Bush Awarded the Medal of Freedom to Mohammed Ali or Cassius Clay

See below. This is the individual that refused to serve his country. They stripped him of the title and he got a 5 year sentence but was overturned by the Supreme Court. What does that say about the Courts. I call it Legislating from the Bench. Ain't it Funny how time slips away and people forget. Now this individual is being praised for promoting world peace etc etc.

On this veterans day, I did not forget.

To me this is the BOTTOM OF THE BARREL and a very low blow to all veterans and retirees. I was either born 40 years too early or 40 years too late. I was brought up in different world. We seem to have lost our way--some where along the way.

Bush drew laughs from the audience by assuming a mock boxing posture when awarding Ali his medal. The three-time heavyweight boxing champion, who has Parkinson's disease, had to be helped to his feet to walk toward the podium to receive his medal. Bush called Ali a fierce fighter, a man of peace and the greatest boxer of all time. "When you say, "The Greatest of All Time" is in the room, everyone knows who you mean," Bush said.

"It's quite a claim to make -- but as Muhammad Ali once said, "It's not bragging if you can back it up." Ali was stripped of his heavyweight title in 1967 at the height of the Vietnam War for refusing military service on conscientious grounds as an Islamic minister. He later won back his title after his conviction and five-year prison sentence were overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court.
