I would
URGE all concerned to stay on the list as we do not know what the future may
hold in store for all military retirees. Please follow the instructions in the
email below from Floyd Sears to stay on the list. I only ask that you remember
that once the closure of the Class Act list takes place it will be very
difficult to re-establish contact.
Please
fwd around the net and give MAX DISTRIBUTION.
Thanks

Subject: The Classact e-mail list will be closing down
I have been informed by Lt. Col. Bob Reinlie (ret) that the Class Act Office in
Ft. Walton Beach Florida will close on 31 Dec 2005. Details concerning the
closure of the CAG office will be sent by the CAG office via regular mail. This
is all I know at this point in time so it would be pointless for you to ask me
for more information.
This e-mail concerns the "Classact e-mail list" and what will happen to the list
members when the CAG office closes. Needless to say, the Classact e-mail list
will close down when the CAG office closes down.
So, this is an invitation to the folks on the Classact e-mail list to join my
personal MRGRG-MS e-mail list such that we might stay in touch for what ever the
future may hold for those folks that are still interested in regaining the
medical care we were promised as a result of serving 20 or more years in the
military, and the Keep Our Promise to America's Military Retirees Act
(HR602/S407). I might add that at this point in time I do not have any new
initiatives. The Brown Bag project at
http://mrgrg-ms.org/history14.html is still active and I will maintain all
web pages associated with that project so long as people continue to use them.
My e-mail list is on Yahoo at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MRGRG-MS/ . As you will see, the list
currently contains 303 members and was founded on 21 Jan 2001. To join this list
you MUST send an e-mail to
MRGRG-MS-subscribe@yahoogroups.com and follow the instructions you will
receive via e-mail. I CAN NOT add you directly to the list, I can only
invite you to join and that is what I'm doing here. So, please do not send me an
e-mail asking me to put you on the list.
The MRGRG-MS e-mail list is a secure list and I am the only person that has
access to the e-mail address. MRGRG-MS is not a discussion group. I am the only
person that can send e-mail to the list. If you are interested in a discussion
group then look at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MRGRG-MS-TALK/
This is the bottom line. The Classact e-mail list will be closing down. If you
want to stay in touch then join the MRGRG-MS e-mail list or some other e-mail
list.

Class Act Group member since 30 Aug 1996.
