Another Skipper has received his 'final orders and has begun his 'Eternal Patrol".

 

                                 

 

We just received a telephone call from our dear friend Han-sGeorg Hess, telling us that Kapitaen zur See (a.D.) Kurt Diggins, had passed away about a week ago.  Diggins was Skipper of U-468, later was President of the VDU (Verband Deutscher U-Bootfahrer .....German Submarine Veterans Association), he was President Emeritus of that group later on, he was a member of Sharkhunters for about twenty years and he was a friend.  He always spoke very highly of the work we do at Sharkhunters, and we always appreciated his wisdom and suggestions.  He will be missed!
