Subject: Fwd: Nomination of USS Batfish to National Registry

Batfish Base Submarine Veterans:

The Batfish needs Your help.  We are working on getting the USS Batfish SS-310 Registered on the National Registry of Historic Places.  As you can see from Wren's e-mail below this would open many doors for us for funding to help the Batfish Memorial with on-going maintenance, upkeep, repairs, etc.

We need for everyone of you to write a letter in support, and send it to the address below.  If you will, please send me a copy of your letter for our history file.

Remember Lost Boats.

I am writing to everyone I can think of to ask your help.  The USS Batfish has been nominated to be listed in the National Registry of Historic Places.  This would open a number of doors for the Memorial in terms of grants and publicity.  We are in need of letters of support from Veterans to accompany the nomination packet.  Please forward this request to any Veterans who have knowledge of the USS Batfish or the Muskogee War Park Memorial.  Below is the name and address to send the letters. Please send before July 15.  Thanks so much for your help!
