ARTCAMP SC DE RL
(Artesanas Campesinas)
Artcamp was founded by rural women, from Tecalpulco, fifteen years ago. The
initial steps that were taken to form Artcamp were to form a common workshop,
Handcraft production is a primary source of income for the artisans who live in
the villages surrounding the Municipality of Taxco.
There is a very serious ongoing economic crisis in our community in respect to
the handcraft work industry.
This is no news - it has been going on for more than 10
years now, There is not enough work for all the people Who want to work to
support their families.
We are trying to create a way to raise the children of the community and provide
for them a future with hope of advancement and dignified way of life.
Artcamp is dedicated to serving the needs of all the traditional handcrafters in
our village area. That is why we would really love see our Cooperative grow,
with all the artisans from our village eventually becoming members.
Our mission is:
“The creation of conditions for a rebirth of the once-flourishing native
handcraft industry by generating new timely designs and commercial prototypes
producible in the village workshops.”
Please CLOSE THE BORDER to Illegal Migration and send our men back to Mexico
where we need them to help us with our jewelry production. We did not want them

were going to get money and come right back, but they have been gone for a long
time and we want to ask
