ARMED Mexican Soldiers invaded U.S. - LAST MONDAY!
While our government prefers to call it an"incursion, "Mexican troops have entered into sovereign U.S. territory. Yet on Friday January 20, 2006, Dept of Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff proclaimed that reports of Mexican Military incursion into the United States were "overblown."
On Tuesday, Chris Simcox, President of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps ("MCDC") expressed outrage over an incident Monday (January 23, 2006) in Texas when heavily armed Mexican soldiers were allowed to retreat to their country after being caught in a massive drug smuggling operation inside the United States.
According
to reports in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin,
the FBI and the Hudspeth County Sheriff's Department have
confirmed that Mexican Army troops armed with mounted
machine guns accompanying civilian drug smugglers were
confronted by federal and local law enforcement officers
several hundred yards inside the United States
near Neely Pass on the Rio Grande. Hudspeth County Sheriff
Arvin West held a press conference and confirmed the
incident, also on Tuesday.
The
retreating Mexican soldiers and the civilian smugglers
abandoned a Cadillac Escalade (that was stolen in the U.S.)
loaded with over 1400 pounds of marijuana. The Sheriff's
department confirmed reports that another drug-laden SUV
which got stuck in the river was set ablaze by Mexican
soldiers.
Hudspeth County Deputy Sheriff Mike Doyal was quoted in a report by the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin report saying, "Our Government has to do something," he said. "It's not the immigrants coming over for jobs we're worried about. It's the smugglers, Mexican military and the national threat to our borders that we're worried about."

Didn't see that one in the news? Most Americans have not heard about this outrage. Yet, according to a report from the Department of Homeland Security, there have been a total of 216 "incursions" by suspected Mexican military units since 1996. WHAT!?
The
Minuteman Civil Defense Corps is doing something about it.

military. Meanwhile, the politicians at every level continue
to "talk" and make excuses. We are taking action. And we

MCDC President Chris Simcox issued the following statement on the armed incursion by the Mexican Army:
"The politically correct policies of President Bush, Sec. Chertoff and Gov. Perry regarding our border are going to get Americans killed - by Mexican soldiers, drug smugglers or al-Qaeda terrorists. These office holders seem to be more afraid of offending the government of Mexico than protecting the lives of American citizens.
"American troops, whether regular Army, National Guard or state militia under the authority of Gov. Perry, need to be deployed immediately to secure our borders.
"Sec. Chertoff recently said reports of such incursions by the Mexican Army were ?overblown.' He should resign his post, as he clearly has no intention of taking these incursions seriously. If heavily armed members of the Mexican Army are crossing the border with with impunity guarding drug shipments, what's to stop al-Qaeda from doing the same with weapons of mass destruction?
"The Minutemen, who have themselves observed Mexican soldiers violating American sovereignty, demand immediate action to protect American citizens."

A spokesman for the Mexican Embassy, Rafael Laveaga, stated that they "strongly deny" that the Mexican military has been coming into the United States and that allegations to that effect are "inaccurate." His implication is that these are simply rogues dressed as the Mexican military, driving military style vehicles and armed to the teeth. OK, so why isn't the REAL Mexican military stopping them?
In spite of all the denials, because of the frequency of these encounters, U.S. Border Patrol agents in Arizona have received a "what to do" list from the Department of Homeland Security regarding run-ins with the Mexican military: Report the size, location and any activities taking place.
Agents are warned that the "Mexican military are trained to escape, evade, and counter-ambush if it will effect their escape." Our agents are also cautioned to keep "a low profile" and if possible "avoid it" - regarding confrontation with Mexican military found to be in the United States.
These
border crossings are acknowledged by U.S. Border Patrol
spokesman Salvador Zamora, but excused as inadvertent,
taking place where the border is "not marked by monuments or
signs." So fellow Americans, we are to believe
that heavily armed Mexican military personnel are so inept
that they mistakenly, routinely cross the border into the
United States.
Many believe the reality is that these military units, along with top Mexican officials, have been bribed by drug smugglers, those who traffic or aid illegal aliens coming into the U.S., and others with an interest in illegal, easy passage across the U.S.-Mexican border. They believe that these Mexican military units are escorting illegal aliens, protecting drug runners, or are themselves smuggling drugs and other contraband into the United States.

According to Department of Homeland Security figures released to Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-CO, there have been a minimum of 51 foreign nationals arrested as suspected terrorists since the inception of arrest tracking in October of 2004.
Our representatives in Congress and the Senate aren't doing enough. Sen. John Cornyn, R-TX, who heads the Senate Judiciary's Subcommittee on Immigration, Border Security and Citizenship acknowledges having seen "anecdotal evidence" that there is an Arabic presence at the U.S. - Mexican border. Remember the war on terror? Remember Al-Qaeda? If the Mexican military can "inadvertently" cross into the United States with impunity, are we sure that America's terrorist enemies are being kept out?
