What an amazing trip to California for the debut of our Los Angeles and San Diego billboards. I have so much to report -- perhaps more than I can fit in one message!

Upon landing in L.A., I was quickly rushed to Fox News studios for an interview on the Neil Cavuto show. Go here to watch that video:

After that interview, we immediately went to the site of our L.A. billboard and were greeted by about a dozen news crews. The same happened in San Diego as our Stop The Invasion billboards got the word out to hundreds of thousands across Southern California.

While in San Diego, some of the local Minutemen gave us a 3-hour guided tour of the border, during which we witnessed an illegal attempting to enter our country. Watch the short video here:

Everyone should tour the border. Our tour took place in the middle of the day and we were amazed to see people gathered just on the other side of the border, waiting for the best opportunity to cross. The fence in most parts is easily scalable and worse--in parts it just ends! And just beyond the breaks in the fence you can see a well-worn path where thousands of illegals have crossed.

And while the five miles of fence south of San Diego has helped some, it clearly is not a fence system actually designed to keep illegals out! For example, the border fence has no barbed wire or razor wire. It looks like the A.C.L.U. designed the fence to make sure illegals have safe passage!

Ironically, at one point along the border just on the U.S. side there are several American warehouses which are surrounded by... you guessed it... a fence with razor wire that no illegal dare cross! The private sector has no problem building fences to keep people out. I left convinced that if our leaders really wanted to keep illegals out, we could build a fence that would do the job.
